My right side mirror goes "too far" when folding, i.e. the mirror is in contact with the window trim. On the driver's side there are about 5 mm room. Anyone has exploded view from the internals of the mirrors? Or have knowledge how to offset the adjustment a bit? Thanks.

One of mine did that after being hit by a large bird! I cured it by gently pulling it away from the window trim when it was in the folded position. Slightly risky, as I could have broken something, but my thinking was that if it had survived the impact without anything breaking I probably wouldn't do any more damage.

Try this at your own risk!

This if you are needing to 'reset' the pin for the folding mirror, but I'll add that you should lift the mirror case a little first before pushing it.

Hi Dave, I tried to pull the mirror away from the trim but it springs right back. Also, if I put my finger between the mirror and the trim when folding, the mirror stops at my finger and the gap is there! So now I have to find a finger to stick at the gap... Also force-folding the mirror on the opposite direction have no effect. It seems you can manually fold and unfold the mirror and it doesn't break anything.

So... anyone have the exploded view of the mirror? Thought I'd check if this "limit pin" is easily accessible and fixable.

I've had two ds3's and each car had to be taken back to the garage within the first few months due to mirror folding when locking the car. On both cars they done what they called a "quick fix" (something to do with the wiring). On the second occasion they had to keep my car in and order a whole new mirror piece to be fitted. Both times very frustrating, luckily the car was under warranty.

Yup; it's fuse F6. That's the 4th from bottom left corner in the fuse box behind the lift-off panel in the glove box. It's 30 amp coloured green. I'm also having problems with my driver door mirror (not folding on car locking). I can hear the motor working but the mirror only moves a few degrees; it's just flapping around. What's all this about a "reset pin"?
