  • Fuel Warning Beep

Is there a way to stop the fuel low warning beep going off every 5 minutes. Once is enough thank you.

      Put some fuel in.

If you've let it get that low you probably won't get far anyway.

Edit: lfcrule1972 beat me to it.

              Depending on how you drive

Had my range down to 30 in Paris, it was definitely going down faster than I was driving (even super economy driving).

I noticed it seems to beep more depending on how heavy footed you are as well.

I find it beeps more the lower the level of fuel is.
I had mine beeping every half mile, although the range read out was zero by that point.

Swear mine only beeps the once when I start it up (when under 65miles)

Then it just tells me its still low on the radio display.

Never an issue, never get far under the 65miles warning anyway, so I put petrol in it.

                        Mine's a one-beep wonder too.

Is this a change to the specification over the earlier ones, I wonder?

Personally I'd take a hammer to it if it carried on beeping at me every few minutes. That's what the fuel warning light is like, ffs, not to mention the countdown range indicator, and if those two aren't enough to stop a person from running out of gas, they deserve to be left stranded on the hard shoulder.

Mine used to beep as I drove, definitely more than once and got more panicked as I used up the remaining diesel !

I know I have to put diesel in, but what im saying is, 1 warning is enough. I have a 32 miles commute to work and if I get a warning at 60 miles, I know I can get home on this and fill up at home (where its cheaper), but the constant beeping does my head in.
