You might think this a nuts thread but my point is made at the end HONEST!
My Boss's van broke down yesterday and needed a quick pull start, so I nipped out in my Citroen Dispatch van to tow start him so he could get to a garage. He had a welded tow loop at the front but i had an threaded hole behind a cover at the rear and front of my van. I searched high and low for the screw-in towing eye and couldn't find it.
So we called his wife who popped out in her Ford Galaxy. The Galaxy also has a threaded hole front and rear and yet again we could not find the screw-in towing eye anywhere in the Galaxy.
At this point we are laughing and saying its a good job that neither my van nor the Galaxy had ever broken down as we wouldn't be able to be towed by a rope, which may be an issue if we needed dragging out a dangerous location. Fortunately a good Samaritan stopped and lent us his screw-in tow eye.
After a chat with a mechanic I later discovered my tow eye in the engine compartment.
1st thing I did when returning home was check the location of the towing eye in my DS3 (by the spare wheel).
In the DS3's without a spare wheel is it located with the compressor kit or somewhere more random like my van (never did find where it's located on a Ford Galaxy).
