Hi all
I was wondering if someone could tell me what turbo is on the 2011/2012 90hp dv6d airdream? Is it a VNT turbo or wastegated? Is the actuator controlled by vacuum or electronic solenoid moving the arm?
.
Any differences between manifolds/turbo types on the 110? Would it need another manifold to fit the 110hp turbo? Or perhaps something bigger could be used on a custom manifold in an extreme case.
Also injectors... are they interchangable as a set for say some focus c-max injectors which seems to output 117hp as standard? Or perhaps another car from the list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_DLD_engine#DLD-416
I do wonder what ECU is in their, I guess we will see when I pick up the car hopefully tomorrow if they've pulled their finger out
.
the euro 5 manual Gearbox appears to be rated for 250nm so doing such upgrades would probably call for a 6 speed box to be placed on or the standard reinforced heavily to be utliising the new potential.
With a remap on the 5 speed manual is appears that a small safe increase to around 185ft/lb is achievable on the stock hardware and gearbox. Not sure what standard boost is or the flow of the standard injectors so its hard to say whats achievable but from everything i've read I think switching over the injectors would be easy enough with some afr calibration. I'm not sure what the standard turbo pressure is or the injector flow rates so I'm not really sure what kind of top end bhp could be achieved...
I think I'll be driving the car standard for a while, but its nice to have some information to hand!
the 110 gearbox appears to be rated to around 300nm as standard.
Heres the data sheet for the dv6d 90hp:
