Oil level at max

Hi there just had my first 12500 ml service done on ms dsport 110 hdi £149 at Springfield citreon , everything was fine , I've just checked my oil level tonight and its bang on the max mark , is this ok as I've always had my previous cars level between min and max ? Any thoughts , obviously it's in the parameters of the dipstick just ,,, just wanted to know from other owners were they keep there oil level ,, cheers

Full is fine IMO- so long as its no higher
Make sure the vehicle has cold engine, and is on flat ground
Sure you knew that- not teaching you to suck eggs

Mine came with oil full on dipstick and 6 weeks later it's still on full too ! As Chris said full is fine....

Cheers for the reply , it's unusual for the dealers to give u as much oil , they usually just give you the bare minimum lol

Even Vauxhall used to fill my Astra up to max with oil....

If they are doing the job properly the oil level should be on "max"!

Can always loosen the sump plug and drain a cup off
