I guess mine has it too, but only on 1st, after second and up I can feel the turbo normally. Makes you wanna change to 2nd as early as possible.

I think it comes down to the combination of pressing the throttle / lifting the clutch pedal. If I lift the clutch pedal very (too) early, it is very slow of the line indeed. But if you get it just right, it's a rocket!

The clutch is the main problem I find. Sometime you zoom off sometimes it feels like there's no movement at all.

I'm a bit to scared to turn off the ESP.

Yeah, bit like that. I'm finding if i slip the clutch more than
normal, or, i give it more revs than normal it feels better....
....but feels like I'm compensating for little lack of low-end
            torque.
I drive all sorts of cars at work- 1.6 Focus / 1.4 Fiestas etc
and they all have more from 1000-2000 revs.....or at least
they FEEL like it, or are easier to get going
            YELLOWS

Would it be a new car thing. Mines only done 1600 miles.

I don't think there's a problem with the car not pulling away fast enough when im not giving it some.
Just when I want to pull out quick and the car just doesn't want to move. It's caught me out a few times now.

I still think with 400 miles on the clock the engine is tight but you have to give it a fair amount of revs to get a good launch ..................but why spank it in 1st ?it aint no rocket ship only 150 bhp
