Quick question should this lock with car central locking? The flip lid not the filler cap you insert key into...

No...Only the filler cap...with the key

dont think so as you need a key to open the actual fuel can there seems no need to lock the outer lid

Had same thought when I picked my DS up.
Not a problem, just seemed a bit Old-Fashioned ?
AND, the filler itself has a grip like you'd TURN it
when it just pulls straight in and out !?
There's ALWAYS something a bit 'french' on a Citroen (derrrr).

The grip is there so you CAN pull it in and out!

There's your problem right there! No wonder the manual doesn't make sense if you're reading it backwards!
