  • Air Conditioning Issue

    Morning All,
I recently posted about an issue I had with losing coolant which was fixed by first replaing the water pump and then the coolant sensor/thermostat housing. Since getting the car back I've noticed that the automatic air conditioning is running cold even when the outside temperature was 9 degrees and the internal automatic control setting is set to 20 degrees.
The system doesn't start to blow warm air until the temperature is set to 24 degrees.
Any ideas what's up? It hasn't behaved like this before the issues with the water pump etc.

Is the engine temp gauge rising normally? Maybe there's air in the engine coolant system. Or the inside temp sensor is broken (hope not).

      Air Conditioning Issue

      Hi pmatil,
The temperature gauge gets up to temperature as normal. If it's the internal sensor is that a big job to replace it?

I'm guessing the inside temp sensor is on the middle of the roof, winscreen edge (a little grill). Don't know how to replace it though.
