No change in driving style ? Have the glo-plugs been replaced ? My old Astra needed a new one when the mpg took a nose dive....

Normally the glo plugs last a long time but obviously they can develop faults, have you asked the dealer to take a look ?

It could be a number of many different things from tyres, to pressures, to road surface, to outside temperature, to load, to passengers, fuel be used, etc.

I wouldn't worry about it for the moment and just continue driving as normal, but keep an eye on it for the next few weeks.

Glow plugs don't have any effect on fuel consumption. They are only active during cold starts. Aircon has only a minimal effect on consumption.

my 110 only averages 48.6 and has done since I got it last november.

Only time it increases is if I travel to london & back or birmingham & back on motorways - goes up to 52.6.

mind you, with cruise control set to 70 + (30 / 2) = I make that 73mph *cough* where possible I'm not complaining too much, although I wouldn't mine it being a bit higher around town.

S'pose it comes with the territory of driving it like you stole it all the time

sorry i beg to differ, drove a DS4 HDi for two weeks and it was eating diesel by the bucket load. even performance dropped when it was on.
