Have you looked at Goodwood Chris ? I used to live near there and they used to, on a Saturday pm (when the track wasn't being used) allow folks to turn up with their cars, pay a fee and have laps round the track Not sure if they still do it though, this was in the pre Revival days

Been quoted £190 from dealer to replace all discs and pads....

Is that a good price ??
Just had a "full" service and everything else tickerty boo at 24000 miles. The replacement was an amber light for around 6 months.

          Cheers Jerry

Tricky question to answer, depends on the quality of the new items.

if being replaced by the dealer, would the replacement items not be top quality, or does this vary from Citroen deal to Citroen dealer ??

Well they 'should' be standard Citroen parts but that doesn't mean they will be or that they are top quality. Once it was out of warranty I replaced worn parts with better quality ones, they would either generally perform better or last longer. Yes just because something is unbranded doesn't mean it is inferior so plenty of research is needed (ie forums such as this) but I can say hand on heart that my ECB disks and Green Stuff pads perform noticeably better than the Citroen ones they replaced.

                PS

That seems very cheap, is labour included in that quote?

yes labour included, they gave me a quote including a decent discount....
Thanks for your advice Superfly Guy...
But surely we as Citroen customers could replace elsewhere, even with my car is under warranty as long as the products are good quality and possibly better than than standard issue Citroen at a reputable garage.
We do with tyres, and other consumables.

People like Biggie will be answer that, it would be logical to think 'official' dealers would provide a more professional service and to a higher standard but in my experience that's not so.

As long as the parts match Citroens quality standards you'll be fine. Just remember to store the receipts for future reference.

Nothing wrong in surpassing the level Citroen require just as long as their not cheapie cheaps!

                              Cheeky sod!

No I made a promise that I would only offer help and advice. As you all know i work for the Citroen network and many other 'dealers' have come on here to flog cars which I have not done once. It's that fact I believe is the reason that you guys trust me.
