  • Windows fog up its that time of year again:-(!!!

Yet again its that time of year again where the ds3 decides to fog up unless you run the air con !!! This really gets on my nerves the car isn't damp inside and the seals are all fine

In a way it's quite dangerous when driving along and the car starts to fog up if I don't have the air con on or the blowers going

Will rain x and anti mist work?

I just run my air con on auto all the time, no misting issues.

That's what it's there for, the fuel cost is minimal in modern cars.

Still shouldn't have to run the air con I never have in any other cars so why does the ds3 do this?

^ This, all my recent cars (2x Astra's, Mondeo and fiancee's Corsa) have done it at this time of year, like Beefy I keep the A/C on Auto and never worry about it. I suspect this is a feature of modern cars having better seals etc, my first car was so drafty with all doors/windows shut you could still feel a draft

I'm not sure why it's such an issue? After the initial demist it's pretty unnoticeable.

I have the digital air con if that makes a difference.

Please make sure that the air circulator is not on, this will cause a build up of CO2 inside the car and steam the windows.

Other option may be that the pollen filter requires replacing.

Think yourselves lucky. The C2 (which in every other way is the far superior car) has a common fault that from some unknown place it leaks water in through the back window, causing everywhere to mist up and, the best bit, freeze when its cold enough! Hoooraaaayyyyy!

Bless....... I thought that the problem maybe because there is only 2 windows and no rear opening windows apart from the boot

To be fair both the Astra's were 3 door as is the fiancee's Corsa so you may have a point. That said the Mondeo was 5 door and it still did it

My wife has my 06 plate 307cc that I kindly let her have when I got the stormtrooper and that had misty window syndrome until Peugeot replaced the heater matrix and changed the pollen filter they said the matrix was leaking fluid behind the dash which was more than likely causing the foggy windows .
