I have the same problem on my 2011 61 plate 1.6ehdi d style plus air dream. The garage say it was due to cheap fuse from halfords!!!

My mum has a 2013 d sport and I checked her fuse as she has not had any problems and hers is 15 amp

Can anybody tell me if the fuse box has been changed since 2011 or if not would it be safe to replace the 10amp with a 15 aamp fuse???

    Thanks very much
The DS3 used to ship with a 10A, looks like they may have upgraded this to 15A now. Either will be sufficient.

Didn't know you could use "expensive fuses" in Citroens. I wouldn't even know where to get one that isn't cheap xD

My washers stopped working yesterday, I'm taking the car in tomorrow to have a look. I'm guessing the fuse (hopefully). If it's the motor, will that be covered by my warranty?
My dealer replaced the fuse for free, not even any paperwork required.

I did this on a frosty morning too, touched the wiper switch accidentally when I hadn't cleared the ice from the windscreen. Fixed by looking in the handbook to identitify the fuse. I wouldnt use a 15A if it says 10A though in case it fried the motor, easy enough to get at the fusebox and fuses are cheap. Just a thought - the fuse blowing saved me damaging the wiper blades on a frozen window - and they're not cheap.

Occasionally in any weather the washer doesnt work at first press of the switch but does if you switch the wiper itself on & off again.. weird but not too stressful. Modern cars are complex ;-)

I've had this too, completely random. Seems like the washer software gets stuck or something. Grr!

                  Same problem

Seems to be a real issue - off to venture into my fusebox for the first time.....

Just want to say a thank you for this thread on here regarding the fuses and washers my ds3 wasn't making a sound when pressing wipers on. Checked the fuse and it was blown weird as it sounds my wife's citroen picasso was also the same.
