  • Roof Graphics - Warranty

Just though I would pass on this message that has appeared on our internel network, SAGAI.

"PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL CLAIMS FOR BUBBLING/DISFIGURING/PEELING OF DS3
ROOF GRAPHICS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER WARRANTY
THIS IS CAUSED BY THE USE OF CHEMICALS SUCH AS CO-POLYMER DEWAXING SOLUTION/
STEAM PRESSURE WASHING OF THE ROOF.

PLEASE ENSURE ALL RELEVANT STAFF ARE INFORMED INCLUDING VALETERS"

Looks like there has been one or two claims being made by dealers who don't know what they are doing. Talking about roof graphics you guys shold be aware that the graphics some of you have added to your DS3's will invaildate your paint warranty.

Man I sound like to Harbringer of bad news!

        Boooo Bigfeet, boooooooo!

Handy to know none-the-less. I did'nae get any graphics on mine anyway, but good to know they're invaliding warranties on the stuff they've made optional when buying! Not!

I have to wonder how this affects owners or the "Black & White" special editions as they come with the roof stripes as a standard fitment

Yes it does unfortunatley, there seems to be an issue with the way some dealers are de-waxing the cars which is causing this problem. Would make more sense to me to issue a bulliten on how to correctly deal with DS3's that have roof graphics rather then this behaviour.

Big..from what I heard from the dealer that supplied mine the black and white specials came over from france to sheerness where the roofs are cleaned and the stripes were fitted the then car delivered straight to dealer, wouldn't have thought that they would have applied another coat of wax when the car was going straight to dealer for delivery to customer.

I am having the same trouble with my local dealer.
Ive got the white special edition and had it only 14 days
I washed it yesterday to notice a slight tear in the stripe in the middle.
I took it to the local dealer who stated " ITS BEEN THROUGH A CAR WASH"
Explaining the car has never been washed until yesterday with a brand new sponge and done by hand by myself I left and complained direct to citreon
there response was if the dealer doesnt think its been through a car wash they will repair it under warranty
                      NOT IMPRESSED

Will have too wait and see but will keep in touch with all.

I am amazed as I had a graphic kit fitted after purchase and stands upto the rigours of mileage & cleaning better than noted above. It seems that dealers blame others as a first response rather than look at what the issues are and give an informed judgement. My dealings so far with Citroen has been pathetic and put me off buying another which will hurt them most as I have a fleet of 25 company cars/vans and Citroen is now on the banned list like Renault.
I am a member of other car forums (like to look rather than post due to time constraints) and it seems that generally Citroen dealers are a poor bunch who do not care about their Clients, there will always be weaker examples but I am not seeing any good feedback; can anybody recommend their dealer?

Yet another one from my dealer!!! (Barclays of Warrington).

Got a card offering me 3yr or 35000 mile services for £199 - as I hadn't taken up this option. BUT I HAD AND PAID FOR IT!!!!
They said they had not updated all their records yet as they had been busy. After all I only bought it in November - how long do they need?
They then asked if I had an itemised receipt. When I said YES they seamed disappointed.

Love Citroens - Hate Citroen dealers.

Well I'm surprised that your not getting good service from your dealer....Please don't tarnish all dealerships with the same brush. I've had absolutely brilliant service from the dealership that I bought my car from in Forres (Pedigreed Cars). And yes it's where my hubby works so people might think that I'm getting special treatment but I can assure you I'm not. There dealership has 100% CSI rate on customer feedback and whenever I've been in the garage I've seen them bend over backwards for their customers!! So please don't slate all dealerships.
