Noticed when locking the car should the healights light up at all, im sure it used to but it doesnt anymore. I always press the keyfob lock twice to activite full security but i never get any light to show the cars locked. Also the alarm went off last night which was strange as it was on the drive and nobody went near it. May have to take it to the dealers?

the lights only stay on if set to auto on the light switch column and you have enabled Guide-me-home lighting in the Vehicle display menu. it also has a time delay is 15-30-60 seconds before they automatically switch off.

When I lock mine and the alarm activates (and in reverse too) the indicator bulbs flash, I didn't turn on the guide me home lighting

When you lock the car the indicators should flash once to show that the car has activated the locking, if the headlights are on then it will be as mentioned already that the guide me home option is turned on. You can check that by entering the car's menu and looking under 'Personalisation'.

As regards to the alarm DSports are fitted with a Volumetric system which detects movement inside the car, but if a heavy vehicle passes it can set the alarm off due to vibration.

Thanks people, like lfcrule said the indicators flash. I knew mine used to light up when locking. Weird that because recently my number plate bulbs stoped working. Have to check my indicator bulbs later to make sure they work if not possibly be a fuse? If they do then il be taking the car to cutroen to get sorted.

Volumetric sensors- great when habit makes you lock the doors at the petrol station to go and pay, leaving the wife in the car

Yes that's right Ha! Thinking about it, I don't think I lock the doors- think they do it automatic, and then the alarm goes off when Andrea moves. ED- Not that I worry, stops her fiddling too much

Gotta take the car in soon, still when i lock the car thers no flash or blink to confirm
Its locked i can just hear the locks activate, weird really because the indicators work. Could it be a fuse or something?

Have you tried the hazard lights to see if they work?
