  • A Thud..

Got a 11 plate o.k done roughly 32k with it, was going down motorway and started to hear a thud when i changed lane, i pulled over couldn't find anything wrong, so i carried on, but when i turned down back lane i noticed everytime the car went over the slightest bump it would thud and it sounds like its in the centre of the car, ive checked pushing the corners of the car and watching them bounce back to see if it is a shock/spring but they all seem fine.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this or has any idea what it could be?

    Thanks in advance!!

Dont really know what to look for, could it be anti roll bar links aswell?

How would you know what it is? put it up on axle stands or on car ramps?

Sure could be. If have stands I would use them then look and shake thing around. Just make sure the car is securely supported. If under warranty would just take it the dealer.

Didn't think the suspension was covered by warranty? A wheel arch liner wasn't even covered by warranty lol

Think it would depend if it was wear and tear, damaged or premature failure.

Sounds daft but maybe something that's fallen under one of the seats or in the boot? Happened to me before, turned out to be a can of de-icer in the boot.

Hope it's something simple and you get it sorted

You could try this to find the noise, open the driver's door and stand on the lip. Now bounce up and down while holding onto the roof and door. Hopefully the noise will make it's self know!

On a side note was your wheel lining broken or dropped?
