  • New DS3 a couple of questions...

    Hi All,

Had my DS3 for a week now and done just under 400 miles. It's a DSport+ 1.6 eHdi. It's a great little car and loving driving it so far. Just a couple of issues that i'd like some advise on though.

    1. The coolant has gone from a nice greeny/blue colour to brown and was just wondering if anyone else had seen this happen. Seems a bit odd after only a few hundred miles. It's not lost any coolant and it's still clean and clear just a funny colour.

    2. My phone doesn't seem to work with the Bluetooth. It connects ok and you can stream the music fine. The problem is when you make/receive a call from either the phone or the car it cuts the call after about 2 seconds. It will ring but as soon as the other person answers or I answer it cuts out. I've tried it with a couple of other older phones and it works fine so i know there's nothing wrong with my phone. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the car will work with the Galaxy S4 as i'm thinking of swapping anyway (currently have an Sony Xperia Z).

Other than that i'm loving it. And the 60MPG (already) is great too :star:

The coolant colour can be seen in the first pic in the album...

I would suggest that the coolant colour is normal and therefore no problem
As for the Phone problem..it might be a compatability issue..I would see your dealer

Coolant is Brown in mine. as to Bluetooth issue, this can be a two way thing. both the Bluetooth software in the headunit and/or the Bluetooth software on your phone can be incompatible. is your phone updated to the latest firmware?

I opened a new thread in regards to the firmware on the headunit here:

      http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....Connecting-Box

many manufacturers allow owners to update the software themselves but Citroen doesn't, you need to book it in with them to have the software updated to support newer phones.

The change in the coolant mixture is quite normal and nothing to worry about at this time, in regards to the Bluetooth there has been some issues with certain phones connecting due to software compatibility. I would suggest going over all the settings on the phone to make sure that all the permissions are set correctly, had a Blackberry the other day that needed some settings changed in order to work.

the usual issue is phones are set to no be visible to the headunit. enabling this usually then works.
