  • Weirded out fog lights.

Switched my fogs lights on, switched them off.

Passenger side fog light will not switch off no matter what I attempt to do...

Cars switched off and locked, so well yeah, nothing should be on...

Similar thing, DRL's are on, Cant have DRL's and fog lights on at the same time...

And the battery, no idea which connection to go for!

So lamp was removed, but this is the only one with this issue.
    Any tips guys ?!

    Thanks!

Theres no fuse for the fog lights. The fog lights come from inside the computer as well. Already researched all this!

Have you tried disconnecting your battery for a minute and re-connecting ?

Haven't actually disconnected the battery yet, was hoping you guy's would have any suggestions, should I just disconnect the fat cables, worried about disconnecting smaller ones as its all for computers etc on the car

I was told to disconnect my battery by the dealer when the bluetooth phone call froze the car stereo so that the display remained on permanently. If you have the OEM stereo head unit there is no issue as you don't need a code for it, it's coded to the car ECU and remembers even after the battery is disconnected.

No fuse for the fog lights? Sounds like a bad design

There's no problems that will arise from disconnecting the battery other than having to reset the time/date.

Give that a try and let us know how you get on.

When you reconnected the lamp did you put the wires on the right way round?

Its a h16 plug. Its impossible to get the wires the wrong way lmfao?... and even if I had them the wrong way, light wouldnt turn on and light definitely wouldn't be on if my keys are in my pocket with the car locked ;p

Il disconnect Wednesday when I take it to work, see what happens.

Yeah, no fog light fuses, only for main lights is there a fuse, fogs are powered from inside the computer on the car haha!

I've had this issue twice with mine. (Drivers side fog light)

Car delivery was delayed on the day as one of the fog lights would not go off before leaving the dealer. Never did get a definitive answer as to why, or how they rectified it.

The woman delivering the car said it was faulty wiring and that it had been repaired. In the excitement of receiving the car I let it slip and was just happy to have the car.

However, a few weeks later, I returned to my car in a multi-storey car park after an hour or so to find the drivers side fog light on. Having not turned my fog lights on since receiving the car, this was very strange.

I found quite a bit of water in and around the fitting. I just removed the bulb. With difficulty and the odd buzz. I left it to dry out, replaced the bulb and its been fine ever since.

I had this within a week of getting my car, they replaced the whole fuse board!
Mine too was the O/S and also full of water, seems this is more common than it should be!

Disconnected the battery. Checked plug, its dry.

Reconnected the battery, light just comes straight back on.
Have my car telling me I have a faulty fog light....

                              Ideas?!
