Another Jamie re-map ...........................Tug Boat stylie
Well I have had a great day out, was a fun drive up to Jamie's but I am speechless about the drive back, as has been said before the torque is outstanding now, through every gear and pulls from start to finish, oh...BHP is improved as well. I was gob smacked on the first run when my original BHP returned at......wait for it.........164 it is now a healthy 190....now to change the internals of BOV, after chatting with Jamie I have come to the conclusion that this is the better option than buying a Forge recirc valve, Jamie has done both and feels there is less lag (which is very little anyway IMO) with upgrading internals, I know this is his personal views but my thoughts are he knows a hell of a lot more about these things than I do
BB being put through his paces
DS3 1.6THP DSport with a few bits added.....nickname BB  Performance...Depends on how heavy my right foot is
Blimey- that's 2 THP 150s returning a 164+ BHP
And you've both used BGK44, and the same Dyno.
Hmmmmmm.....................lol
Pleased I have a can BGK to be used shortly
Why are you guys using this additive to knock the carbon build up off that should not be there in the first place ? this stuff is not a cure just mask's the fault

The cleaner is for several parts of the cars engine, and someone on here has previously said that there are detergents in every gallon of fuel, just some in more than others as they are costly.
No reason not to try and maintain the cleanliness of your car engine Monkey is there surely!
It doesn't deal with carbon build up on inlet valves

Snake oil ????? or as we /you old'uns remember it as Red X upper cylinder lubricant did it really make a difference not really sure but if the engine was designed properly you should not need to add anything to it
I am of the same opinion, we know that there is nothing on the market (additive wise) that cleans the valves but as Chris has said it will certainly help with cleaning the rest of the engine, prevention in my eyes is better than cure.

I know Gaz and I can understand where you are coming from but I only keep cars 2-3 years max anyway and if bought newish by the time I have sold it the mileage is around 35K so if and I stress if there is shit loads of carbon build up in that short mileage with the new cleaner fuels the engine design has a megga flaw or I am Driving Miss Daisy lol
And I feel worried adding cleaner into a engine that may/or not have carbon build up just incase big chunks drop off and get stuck somewhere

Reason: thought up more stuff lol
thats a good first run and same end result as me, although my engine had done around 41k at the time, looks like the carbon build up hasnt affected power all that much!
my preference is best to use OEM so good pick on the uprated stock bov, was just easy for me to buy one off the shelf as i needed it quick and didnt know how to go about the uprated stock one at the time

I agree, an engine these days should not have the carbon build up that these ones are prone to (allegedly) but as we all know this is a problem, and until Citroen actually do something about it I will try my best

Don't bite Gaz....don't bite LOL
Monkey comes on here for a bit of THP baiting now and again
Not not really Chris I am not trying to wind up anyone just get a bit annoyed when you guys who love the car /engine spend money trying to overcome /prevent inherent problems
I am glad you lot are mapping the thing to improve it I have had loads of suspect engines done over the years with no probs occurring later:eek: just sold the car before they started lol
