  • LED headlamp bulbs.......?!?!?!?!?

Any idea whether these can/could produce enough light
to even match the standard bulbs let alone be brighter
[I realise they will be WHITER.....I mean BRIGHTER]
just making sure they're pooh before I get 90-120% brighter
    'normal' bulbs.......

Main concern would be, the H7 has 68 led's but the H1 only has 25 ?!?
They're shoving nearly that many in some of the 501 LED's ?!?!?!?

[and, how do they make 'em/sell 'em so cheap IF they're any good/work ??]

    Oh God no.

Get either HIDs or a decent make like Osram / Phillips

VAG have LED headlight options on most of there cars now but they have been specifically designed to put light on the load. I doubt any aftermarket bulb would over come close. The standard bulbs aren't bad in the DS3 but I have osram night breakers. Top job!

When I first looked at brighter lights for my DS3 I asked the same question to one of the sites that sells LEDs, they emailed back to say they don't recommend them for headlights, I fitted the Nightbreaker Plus lights and am v pleased with them. Colour or whiteness of the light isn't important to me, just road legal brightness

Yes- NightBreaker+ are good, but standard Nightbreakers I fitted a year and half ago have both blown- so they don't last long

I've just sent some Nightbreaker +, one went after 2 months. They have an upgraded version out now, which I've only had in 2 weeks. If these go, then Phillips Extreme next time

I think the light pattern would be all wrong with those LED bulbs. And there's no mention of the power or lumen output. So... no.
