A real change in first 50 mile feeling much smoother, now all seems as was.
Expect the test will come when put standard (Premium) fuel in
Still- for the cost involved, well worth it. A once a year job methinks
I've had similar results - run the car to empty and filled up again with Shell regular fuel (as always). The difference is definitely noticeable, I saw another can for £13 on eBay so bought that ready to use again in 6 months or so!

I have used this stuff now, i have not really used any fuel cleaner while i have had the car, whether the previous owner did or not i do not know...

My 207 is 6 years old now and has covered 48k so i suppose as far as clean engines are concerned mine will probably be dirtier than your newer engines lol.

The car defenaitely felt more responsive using this stuff at first, i did overdose it abit though using just over half the can on about 30litres of fuel.

I suppose a true test would be to have a dyno run but have not got one planned in anytime soon!

My friend had his astra mk4 2.0T on the dyno last week, on sunday we put in half a can BG44K, he took the car tuesday back to the same dyno for remapping and the pre remap run it made 1.8bhp more than last weeks dyno, thats with very little use of the car so the cleaner wont really have run its full affect.

That was on a Dynodynamics dyno too

You are putting way to much faith in the accuracy of a dyno. 1.8bhp is just not significant enough difference to make any rational conclusions about!

I dont know for sure, but I did not put faith into it nor make a rational conclusion or claim, just reporting what happened

Well I didn't think you were just reporting what happened. It was written to lead to the impression if not conclusion that it already made more power even after only a week with very little use it was really working well to produce more power.

I thought that needed to be balanced by the ability of a dyno to produce repeatable consistent power output readings of the sort of accuracy for 1.8bhp to be significant before we even get into the variables of the day and dyno settings and modes.

I dont know or care enough to look into this any further, i felt the car ran smoother using this cleaner and so did my friend. Was simply stating the car produced 1.8bhp more than previous and rstuning claim their dyno is extremely accurate... to what degree i dont know, and again dont care too much either

I agree Colgan, i ran this through mine and the engine was smoother running and still is especially at idle, for engine maintenance i think 44K is a definite help

I agree, mine went in around 5000 miles ago and was deffo smoother on idle, since then ive had it remapped and fitted a recirc valve. Ive got a CC sitting at home so when im back il change the oil, fit the CC and add another can of BK44.

Also agree, car felt a lot smoother on idle and cold starts, more responsive and nippy. I have another can waiting until I add more, in a few thousand miles time.

I agree. I'm thinking next time I have my car serviced, which will be May/June time.

we sell BG additives where i work (Garage in Aldershot, Hants) & our customers have only ever given us positive feedback after using any of the BG additives.
BG even offer a money back guarantee! & apparently the only time they ever had to refund the cost of a treatment was to a guy with a lead foot & a big horsepower skyline as he said he noticed no improvement in mpg!

you diesel guys should consider using the BG109 engine flush every time you get your oil changed. that makes a big difference to the colour of your oil when you dip it after a service
