    hi
not sure what fuel type you car is but if its a diesel i had something similar in november and called out the RAC as i was a fair way from home and the error message logged in the system was P0087 low fuel pressure, turned out due to an increased use of bio diesel there is an increased chance of waxing which blocks the fuel filter which you will need to change. if you are somewhere where the temp has fallen it might be an issue but cant say for certain

You need to get a diagnostic check done - no point in speculating as it could be any of a multitude (that's a good word for Sunday morning!) of faults.

Hi normanh7, welcome to the club.
Take it in to dealer, or at least get someone to plug into ECU to see whats happening
May prevent bigger problems in the future if you get it checked out now

sounds like another temp sensor fault.

Strange a coil pack would set the fan running, if temp sensor fails the fan comes on automatically. not heard of a recall on coil packs though there are quite a few failures on all makes of cars.

The fan thing was only when it was started from cold and then turned off, took it for a 10ml drive and on stopping the fan didn't come on as you would expect it to.
