Even don't try it. Mine looses coolant for 4 years. Everything is changed, also the engine. It still does it. I gave up the battle.

Well on mine it was the banjo fitting on the coolant pipes to the turbo. Small leaks still big problems if you don't keep the coolant levels up and the car can't maintain the pressure as the boiling temp drops rapidly without any pressurisation.Comment

Had 1.6VTi in today for engine management light and anti pollution fault.
Cause of fault was a leaking coolant sensor, coolant then travelled up the wiring loom back to the ECU thus short circuiting the board inside.
New sensor, new engine bay wiring loom and new ecu just £1700!
This engine is a similar layout to the THP in the DS3, same sensor, same wiring, same ecu....hope this isn't where your coolant is going too :-/

Righthand side of cylinder head, look for the green horseshoe shaped clip that holds the sensor in place. You might need to remove your air ducting to get at it.White on red THP

Jamie, newer THP models don't have the clip or sensor fitted externally. the sensor is fitted inside a sensor housing case. When mine packed in a new housing case was ordered. The sensor is part of this case and cannot be removed on its own.Originally posted by Jamie@SPTuning View Post
