Hi Guys, when I go down a motorway, no matter what the surface it feels like I am going over a rumble strip. Not in a big way and not through the steering wheel so I am thinking that it is something like an out of balance rear wheel. DSport THP. Anyone else have that feeling or got any thoughts? Sean

Thats weird
Happened to me when I bought some winter tyres (second hand) but got better when I swapped front and back but not completely disappeared.
Tyres were fully examined and couldn't find anything wrong with them.
This is, however, the obvious starting point, check for balance and any abnormalities.
Be interested if you found another cause.
Did it just happen or has it always been there?

Hi Sean, welcome to the forum.
Not had that problem on my DSport, although the suspension is firm enough to make you aware of the road surface at most speeds.
If you're only noticing this at motorway speeds, and not through the steering, it does sound like a you have a problem with one of the rears ...

had a similar experience with my C2 VTS - not rumble stirp but a continuous noise like wheel bearing failure. (wasn't)
It started when the tyres wore down perhaps 75%. Once I fitted new tyres it went away and didn't return when they in turn wore down.
All the tyres were Michelin Pilot Exalto - go figureLast edited by Owd git; 20-01-2011, 19:14.Bog standard 2010 DSport THP150, 1973 Clan Crusader, 2003 Harley Davidson Softail, 2007 Vespa 250GTS, 2011 Peugeot Boxer campervan ,a few push bikes, and one eMTB
