Vibrating noise when de-accerlating

I have just bought a 2013 DS3 Dstyle plus. At times, when I take my foot off the accelerator, the engine makes a vibrating/whirring noise. I don't know if this is normal for this type of diesel car. It particularly happens if I am accelerating to change to second or third gear and then take my foot of the accelerator to change. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks.

I have no experience of this either, would it be possible to get a friend/family member to record the sound as you drive the car ?

Thanks! My garage are going to take it in as they need to replace my windscreen which came with a large scratch! They said I can drive another DS3 and see if the noise is the same and if not, they will take a look. Will post the results!

ps It's OK to use "decelerating" if it helps!

ps If it were a competition I would risk a quid on the turbo as the cause.

Mine did the same and Jimbob was right it is the turbo. Mine did it when it got above 2.5k revs
