Strange issue with my clock

So i drove home from work last night, pulled up at a 5.45pm. All is well, i am greeted by my wife with dinner ready on the table, life is good.
I get into my car this morning, and the date and time have not changed, its still showing 5.45 yesterday. The car starts fine and drives perfectly well. I manually change the time and date and the minutes change and all is working OK again.
On my lunch i will go and check if the same has happened but in the mean time has anyone else had this issue?

I had a similar problem with my Delorean
Turned out it was the flux capacitor.

Nothing heard of this one, if everything is working now just chalk it to one of those things.

Just been in the car at lunch and looks to be ok. Strange.

If it is on 12hr, is it the right side of the 12 hrs?

So set to PM in the afternoon?

Might be that When it is actually 5:45PM, the car thinks it is am. So the next 5:45 would display on the car as the previous date, but it thinks its that time in the afternoon.
