Might be to do with fuel quality over there compared to over here.

The same reason that the DS3R had a different spec initially to the UK Model.

Because the info you are looking at is wrong. The figure show on the french site is supposed to be for the Hard top.

        0-100 KM = 8.9
        0-62 MPH = 8.2

Is the correct figures and before you ask the slight is due to the fact that 100 KPM is not actually 62 MPH but really 62.1371 MPH.

Nope, in black and white the french version is 0-100 kph 7.4 English 0-62 mph (100 kph) 8.2 .
Ive been driving since 1988 and various sports cars, a second is quite a difference IMHO. Maybe it is to do with fuel quality.

The timing for the car would have been done using RON 98 (super unleaded which is the recommended fuel) which is the same rating at what you get aboard. To be honest with the mistake might be with the UK brochure.

Besides there's no chance that you would ever get close to that figure without ruining your clutch.

By the way I've been driving since I was 7 years old, worked a field with a tractor and combine when I was 10, first car was a XR3i at 17, then a VR6, then a Audi RS4, and my first drive was my fathers Lotus

For me its nice to know your buying a new car given the correct figures for everything. As long as its as rapid as they say for the engine then I will be happy. All I know is it wil be quicker than my current Golf Cabrio Tdi!

DS3 Cabrio THP does 0-60 in 7.9s according to Parkers.

Should be faster than the Golf and will look much less boring

HA your telling me! VW bore the pants off me. I had a scirocco which was interesting but damn they mostly are all dull! Quite a few DS3's on the road but I always see a different one each time. Even the Driving school efforts. Im sure I will get a rapid drive after its run in a bit.
