  • £280 First service charge

£280 for a first diesel service. Can't say I'm amused by the cost. It seems really expenisve? My ford fiesta was nowhere near this.

Definately the last time I take my car in to Citroen.

I was always under the impression that I needed the car serviced by Citroen to maintain the warranty. Apparently you don't.

Does this seem an expensive service? I don't have the service plan, it wasn't offered to me when I bought the car. (bought car when it had 9,000 miles on the clock and it was bought from Citroen dealer)

Sounds expensive to me, unless the cost has gone up in 12 months or it's more expensive for a diesel.

I was quoted £191 for my first service. I have the DSport petrol THP 155.

Luckily Bigfeet pointed out I have a service plan so didn't pay anything

I was quoted £260 for the second service, it's meant to be a fixed price isn't it?

Don't pay it, its a rip off, thats excessive for a first service, I paid sub 200 for first service, the second one is dearer as they change the fuel filter. I just went to a local independent garage and just ensured they used genuine Citroen parts, making the warranty still valid.

I was told the first service is around the £170 mark when I asked about the service packages.

Unfortunately I've got to pay this time, the seat belt is buggered so it needed to go in regardless - but I certainly won't do it again.
I thought it sounded steep but wasn't aware of a fixed price - I thought they all could charge what they wanted?

Is the service plan transferable? I bought my Dsport second hand... Would be interesting to find out if it's covered.

Dont think it is- the plan is given to the owner as an incentive. could be wrong- Biggus will know

No you're right Chris, I'm sure I asked about this at my dealers, they told me the new car service plans only apply to the first owner.

My dealer charged £276 for the first service on my petrol DSport 155thp - total rip off - won't be doing that again! (no new car service plan, I bought the car 6 months old with 1700 miles on the clock)
