Engine temp problem!

Just had a nice warning on display for engine temp!
Fan started whiring but gauges seemed fine, only been driving a few miles then left for half an hour! Was pretty much cold!

Have a rather noisy video but can't upload here via tapa!

Seem ok as far as I can see. Only topped up about 1700 miles ago. Turned engine off right away and AA here soon.

Might be a sticky temp sensor for the fan, panic mode for the ECU is that if it can't tell then run that fan!

Sensor issue. Although it was slightly odd....

AA were going to turn up then got a text to say they are delayed and at the exact time they say they will turn up, a local garage I knew of turned up to look at car. He checks it, says it's a sensor issue and resets the code and tells me to take to citroen.
I head home and have a missed call and voicemail.... From the AA saying they can't find me! I call citroen assistance, they say that the call was closed as he couldn't locate me. I told her what happens and she just laughs and says oh well. Apparently I'm all ok warranty wise and citroen are looking at the car on Monday!

Bloody better be with FCS round the corner. Car is going in Monday morning and should be done by 5pm for me.

As long as it's done by Wednesday evening for a final clean before Thursday!!

So today my car went in to my local dealer, John Grose. They are so good here. First class service all the way. Sorted problem. Done my service. Everything fine apart from one little odd thing....

... Pollen filter cap is apparently missing and they've no idea how this could have happened. They've ordered one though and should be here within 24 hours and they'll pop it on.

They even got a minibus to run me to work as they had no courtesy cars available today. (Which I knew about in advance but I said was fine).
