Somebody's had fun with a sharp object

Came to clean the car at the weekend and noticed these two little beauties embedded into the metal work. Not really got a clue how it has been done but I've not long since had the car back from a bit of body work that's been sprayed. So annoyed! The paintwork around it is flaking.

Looks like they would've taken some effort to do that don't they ? I hate vandalism like that and if it was accidental they should've left a note with their details
