eMyWay USB bugs

I play my music from USB stick. The system has a couple of really annoying bugs.

1) Occasionally when starting the car, it will start playing the very first track on the stick, around a minute in. Sometimes it will be a random song even though it's not set to random play.

2) when starting the car, if the first bug hasn't occurred, it will continue playing where I left it for a minute or two before skipping to the next song.

These are really annoying bugs. Is there a firmware update for the system? Album art would have been nice too ;-)

I've not noticed the issues you've mentioned but I don't pay that close attention tbh. Next time I'm out in the car I'll keep an ear out for problems and let you know.

Thanks. Perhaps a different USB stick will make a difference. I'll give one a try.

Update your firmware, was shocked to see mine was still the original (2010) version even though in 2012 I was told it was updated to fix a Blue Tooth issue. Its easy to update anyway. Just done mine to the latest version which gives me a nice Citroen start screen (but nothing else I could see).

After going out a few times, I've noticed this happening sometimes. Bit annoying, I wonder what it's related to.

I should have the latest firmware, it's a new car and has the latest maps (full UK post codes).

At least I know it's not just me. I have the eMyWay (RT6) and I've just put firmware 2.80 on (had 2.75 before) so let's see what happens.

Its worth checking, its possible that like electronic components there is a significant time gap between firmware being released and it being used in the latest builds.

Yeah that's true. I do have full UK postcodes working though (7 digits).

Where in the settings can I find out what firmware it's running?

On Setup its under System and then Software Version.

After a few days with the latest maps and firmware (2.80) and no problems as yet.
