  • Aux Socket/Bluetooth Query

I have just bought a DS3, its the Airdream 90 1.5 Diesel model registered Nov 2012 (62 Plate).
I have noticed that the car only has an Aux socket and not USB, is there any way I can play music from my ipod through the aux socket, adaptors etc?

Also I am not sure if bluetooth is standard or not, I have turned on bluetooth on my iphone 5 but it hasn't really picked up anything on my car?

Appreciate any advice, the car didn't come with owner manual, previously a company car I think.

If you have no USB then you won't have Bluetooth fitted to your DS3. To connect an iPod all you will need is a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable which you can get online or from most shops.

    Something like this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...WWNHKR0EAFMT25

      As above.
Even with the Bluetooth and USB port in my car I would always choose the aux socket becuase it's the only one that gives useable quality of sound while my USB doesn't work with any of my devices anyway.
The cable Bigfeet says is basically the headphone wire from your mp3 to the car speakers :-)

On line handbook since you do not have one.

The aux plays well but can't choose the track via steering wheel.
Bluetooth is very tinny and the USB says P(something) error.
New standard head unit has made a Huge improvement over the first one though :-D

Thanks for all your help. Purchased the aux cable via link from Bigfeet. Just means you can't control from dash/wheel controls. Wife was keen to have bluetooth b'cos she likes to chat!!
