Subwoofer installation with standard stereo

Hi

I am sure this has been answered in here before but easier if I write it down in my own way.
Looking to install a subwoofer but to the standard stereo. Does anybody know if I am able to run just the power to the back and splice into the build in subwoofer to get audio and remote?
I am 99% certain I will be able to as the built in sub has its own amp. Just saves running wires to the back when their is no need.

Hope someone can advise. Built in speakers are pretty loud and decent so just an uplift on bass should sound pretty good I'm guessing.

If it is possible any chance you could drop me a message with what wire I need to use off the built in sub.. been dieing to wire in my subs to head unit but was a little cautious

Did anybody answer this question as I am looking into doing the same thing. I know power is not an option to get from the built in subwoofer. But their must be audio and remote to connect to. I did test a few connections for a remote connection and could not find any. It was all 3V and random voltages.

If you want to install a subwoofer to the standard head unit then you will need to get a RCA Converter, I got mysubwoofer installed in my ds3 with the stock head unit and it works brilliantly, here's one on Amazon which I got

I was looking to add the standard sub to my Ds3, does anyone know where you can get the cable? I can buy a sub off eBay but no wires!! I rang the local dealership and they didn’t have a clue
