If memory serves me right you press the 'ok' button and a sub menu should appear. As to the aux socket I thought that would be obvious!Last edited by Bigfeet; 03-02-2011, 11:39....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

It bends space time....!
No it because the USB pushes about 1.5v to 5v through itself and you would get horrible feedback into and through the AUX socket (think noises from microphones) if you plugged one item into both sockets....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

The only way to do that is not to sub folder everything, but put all the files on the same directory level....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

Are you using a portable hard drive with the usb socket ? While waiting for my DS3 I have copied all my CD's onto my computer with the intention of having them all in the car on a single usb device. I then read the DS3 handbook online and it states that hard drives should not be plugged into the usb socket as they could cause damage. At the best quality the audio system will work with I would need a minimum of 128GB, usb sticks that size are a tad expensive at the moment, so if hard drives work I will get a cheap portable one.DS3 Racing, also available in White!!!

USB drives take a tad too much power from the car electrics for comfort, tried one on mine and it wasn't at all happy.
For info these are the specs for audio files.
The fi le formats recognised are .mp3
(mpeg1 layer 3 only), .wma (standard 9 only,
128 kbits/sec compression), .wav and .ogg.
The playlists types accepted are m3u, .pls, .wpl.Last edited by John S; 04-02-2011, 16:13.

Best to stick with a USB flash stick rather than a hard drive unit....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
