Iphone 3g and bluetooth music

Just a bit of info

I have updated my iphone 3g to the new 4.2 firmware and can now change tracks on the steering controls rather than on the
phone when connected by bluetooth, still won't recognize it if through the USB and forces a grey screen but hey ho, can't have it all

Also managed to jailbreak and unlock the phone too!!

I get a grey screen on the phone with a picture of a TV and no access to functions. I guess the systems are not compatible

Hmmm.... I've had iPhone3's streaming music on DS3 and others, not owning one though I don't know if you need to check settings to make sure that your phone connects correctly.

Maybe Beacuse You've Jailbroken It ?...

That could be it too, has anyone else got a JB iPhone that works with the bluetooth?

When connected by bluetooth all is normal, screen shows the album covers etc but goes grey when connected by USB cable, sticking with bluetooth even though it skips occasionally.

Being jailbroken and unlocked makes no difference but moving up to frimware 4.2 allows me to use the steering wheel controls where the previous 3.3.1 wouldn't
