  • Bumblebee meets Audison

As I mentioned in my introduction post, my car is currently in having a bit of an audio overhaul. It went in Monday and all being well I am picking it up tomorrow.

The company installing everything sent me some photos of the progress earlier

Door all stripped down ready for Audison Voce speaker and sound deadening

    Dynamat sound deadening fitted

Dynamat installed in the side panels in the back too, along with Hertz 165 woofer

2 Audison SR4 amplifiers along with a Bit 10 D processor, fitted in the boot.

Only difference to the appearance of the interior is the DRC for the processor.

Still to come - a new false floor in the boot along with a fibreglass box housing a Hertz FS25.5 shallow sub woofer. Tweeters have also been changed to Audison.

Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. This is the third car this company have modified for me and the results so far have been outstanding.

    Dave.

    Serious stuff Dave.

I would test it on Paranoid by Black Sabbath!

Good shout! I've got a few tracks I tend to use to check how everything is set up but that could well be added to the list.

Well, I've had the car back for the best part of a fortnight now and the results are outstanding.

The new sub box looks like it has always been there..

It is freestanding in nature in case I ever need to change any of the rear bulbs but it is such a good fit it doesn't move an inch.

I don't know what the forum rules are regarding advertising but if anyone is after a quality stereo overhaul in the midlands, I can definitely vouch for someone. I'd only had the car for a week before I took it in for this work to be done so hadn't had chance to really get used to it but the improvement with regards to road noise from the sound proofing is remarkable. May in time look to get a boot floor fabricated that shows off all of the components but at the moment I am very happy that the only obvious difference is the addition of the processor controller...

            Looks great!

Is the floor raised above standard or does it all fit in the spare wheel well?

Everything fitted in the wheel well but they added a plywood base under the original boot cover to stop anything heavy in the boot pressing down on the amps.
