Can anyone advise what the Loudness Correction setting does when you go in to change other settings such as bass treble etc etc

The options for Loudness Correction are (1) Active or (2) Inactive.

Anyone shed any light on what this actually does?

I'm fairly sure when it's enabled, the faster you go the louder the music is (to compensate for road noise etc).

The 'Loudness' button on amps used to be very popular in the '70s (granddad smiley required!), like the link states it just bumps the bass up a bit at low volumes...

I find the best setting for me is no effects, bass and treble at 0, and loudness on...but each to their own

The 'loudness' option boosts the bass at lower volume levels, it's ideal if you like listening to music in the car but not at a level that makes your ears bleed.
