Looking to upgrade car stereo. Now, I know I need a connect2 box which is circa £60. (Stalk and parking sensors). Patch lead..then I've been looking at this stereo - Pioneer DEH-X8500DAB. My question is, where would you out the extra dab aerial?

What else will I need other than everything mentioned?

I think most DAB aerials just attach to glass, usually top left on the windscreen (for obvious reasons). However saying that I have seen replacement aerial units (the bit that actually sticks out the car) specifically made for DAB radios that can be used however that requires replacing the cable between the aerial and the radio.

Let me know how you get on as I'm interested in it for my car

I've now decided to just go with an alpine stereo. 177BT. As my phone has unlimited data, I'm just going to stream everything from phone.

Sorry to double post...

I've gone for the 177BT. £160.98 delivered from car audio security. I'd initially ordered from Car Audio Direct @ 145 delivered, but upon calling to change to next day, I was told it was out of stock so I cancelled & they've told me it's refunded not a problem.

I'd gone for this stereo as it's stop/start compatible, has everything the 185BT has, except variable front colours.

I've got the Connects2 kit sorted with this - CTSCT008 (ebay item - 261715794623) Half the price

Now, I've got these two cables - ebay items - 171031207836 & 140917932368.

Anything else I am missing?
