You'll lose the steering controls without a connects2 adapter:

Sound quality technically should be improved.

was hoping for more feed back on sound quality dont want to splash out on a fancy head unit if the difference in quality is minimal

It should offer a considerable improvement as it will negate all of the pre-equalization that the stock head unit is set with. You are in essence starting from scratch. Another option, which allows you to keep the factory head unit and saves buying any additional stalks, is to get a DSP (digital sound processor) which flattens the signal and lets you get it sounding just how you like. I went for the Audison Bit10D and have to say it sounds awesome.

I've just received my connects2 cables . Problem is it's dark outside... bummer!

All good to go apart from some natural lighting! ha.

For the record, I've just gone and plugged it all in and it makes a huge improvement to the speakers. Problem is.. The connects2 I purchased seems to be faulty. The wires which loop and plug into the same side as te patch lead, but not the patch lead, When twiddled (speakers cut out, or the power goes off).

                  Bugger!!

You will definately hear the sound difference with a new head unit.It was the 1st thing i changed considering the stock unit is the same as the one in my work van.you would think citroen would put a better head unit in such a nice car

1 thing you will need to keep in mind is that when the clocks go back or forwards you cannot change the time without replacing the original head unit back in UNLESS someone knows different then PLEASE correct me as i would like to know but i have an after market stereo too & i have to put original head unit in to change the time display

Read from the start of page two. You should be able to, dependant on having the same adaptor as the chap in this thread...
