USB Folder name restriction and scrolling

I’ve had my Whisper Purple DS3 for nearly a couple of weeks now and am loving it! I finally got round to exploring some of the multimedia features but am struggling with the USB. I’ve set it up to organize by folder but am having a couple of issues:

1) In the display folder names seem to get truncated so that, for example,
“Anjunabeats Worldwide, Vol. 1 Disc 1” and
“Anjunabeats Worldwide, Vol. 3 Disc 2” both get truncated to something like
“Anjunabeats Wo”.

This isn’t much help! I also notice that it doesn’t seem to like “#”. What are the rules governing folder name?

2) So I thought I had sorted it by folder names, but when I go back to normal play mode and use the scroll wheel on the steering stalk it seems to jump ‘randomly’ between tracks from different folders. It may be sorting by Album/Artist but not sure. How do I get it to scroll by folder name?

First thing is only due to the limit of the screen setup so my suggestion is to combine any compilation discs into one folder.

Second double check you haven't switched on the random play, press "OK" on the radio and check the options while using the USB.

Thanks for that. Sorted out the folder lengths by manually abbreviating on the PC first. As for the random play, was me being stupid with a complicated folder hierarchy.All sorted now

It's still a bit of a pain navigating the albums but it's functional. Could do with the new 7" touch screen. I wonder if an upgraded is going to be possible?
