  • DStyle Nav touchscreen questions

    Folks,

I'm a newbie here. I first read the forums when thinking of getting a DS3, and again while deciding on spec, but this is my first post.

I've now changed my beloved 2007 C2 Code for a DS3 DStyle Nav, which is my first brand new car, and I'm loving it!

I have some dumb questions that I can't find answers to, so I hope you can help!

    1) How do you turn the radio off?! The only way I can find to silence it, is to turn the volume right down!
    2) When I plug in my iPhone 6, music only plays on shuffle, despite not being set to that on the phone. What am I doing wrong?
    3) With either the iPhone or my iPod Classic connected, I was hoping to be able to navigate through the menus as if looking at the device. Is that not possible?
    4) How do I enter a postcode into the satnav?

Please end my frustration here! Thanks in advance for any replies!

You can't the only way is the silence the radio

Not sure but check the sub menu on the radio display and check the settings

    3) With either the iPhone or my iPod Classic connected, I was hoping to be able to navigate through the menus as if looking at the device. Is that not possible?
Nope, the system should access the device like a USB. There is no mirror screening.

    4) How do I enter a postcode into the satnav?
When looking at the address entry add the postcode in the 'City' box

Seems odd that the radio can't be simply turned off, but I'm glad in a way, because it means that I didn't miss something obvious during my time searching for "off" I can see it becoming an annoyance, though.

May thanks for the reply Bigfeet.

You could just use the mute function, quicker and easier than turning volume all the way down. Pressing both up and down volume buttons on the stalk together.

Thanks cyclone, I'll try that. Does it remain muted the next time that you turn the ignition on?

Hi, this is my first attempt at a reply/question. I am a newbie to this club and have just picked up my DStyle Nav. Firstly I was sad to let go of my C2 I had Little Blue for over 10 years and she was a great car, good news is that she stayed in the family and I gave her to my son. I love the DStyle Nav but I am struggling to use the entertainment system, having gone from push buttons to touchscreen! How do I load my music on to the hard drive?

At the bottom of his post there is a link to Bigfeet's file repository, click it.

When you look at his post or mine for that matter there is a light line going across the post. Under that line is your signature if you set one up. It automatically papers at the bottom of every post you make without doing anything other than setting the signature up initially.
Your signature is set from the Settings page (very upper right hand corner of the web page) On the left hand side one of the choices is Edit Signature, click that and write something then click Save Signature. Easy as that.
