  • Bluetooth iphone Pairing

    Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered before
I have just received my 63 reg DS3 D-Style and got a bluetooth pairing question
I can pair my iphone and connect to all services phone calls, music, phone book ect.
My question is do i have to pair my phone everytime i get in my car to go anywhere
only i am having to, as it does not automatically connect when i get in car to go somewhere.
is this right or am i doing something wrong ?
    Any help please.

It should pair automatically. However, I find that sometimes they can be a bit slow to find each other. Turning your radio off and on again might force them - it usually works for me.

Yeah my iPhone 5 and 6S both work fine. I always connect them using the car first during initial setup. Never had a problem unless I walk too far from the car when it's running, making them disconnect, even then, just going into Bluetooth devices on the car and re-connect sorts it out.

Other than disabling bluetooth or disconnecting the share, no. It will automatically connect each time.

Ok, I would delete the phone from the car, turn the car off then follow these steps:

                  - Enable visibility on iPhone: Settings > General > Bluetooth.
                  - In car: Turn on ignition > Menu button > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Config > Search > Select your phone > Enter 0000
                  - On iPhone: It should pop up saying car is trying to connect and to enter PIN. Enter 0000 then pair.
                  - Should say pairing successful on car and phone.

                  Note:
Code can be anything but 0000 is the quickest and easiest to enter on both.
This is copied from a previous post of mine, I've used this process on both my DS3s with 3 different iPhones and I've never had an issue. If after doing this process, your phone doesn't connect every time you turn the car on (obviously Bluetooth needs to be turned on on the phone), then there is probably an issue with your radio and you should take it into your dealer for diagnostics.

                        No not done it
when i search from the radio it finds phone, but after entering 0000 it does not ask on
                        ohone to connect.
it will only let me search from phone and enter 0000 then radio asks me if i want to connect
to iphone and then i enter 0000 and it connects.
when i turn of the ignition phone wont pair automatically i have to start all over again.

It can take a minute or 2 to pop up and ask for the code on the phone.

What iPhone / iOS version are you using?

Have you tried turning Bluetooth off & on again? Or resetting your phone? (You laugh but many tech issues can be fixed by turning everything off and on again).

Tried restarting phone and tried again but still only lets me pair from phone.
Once i turn ignition off and on again and it does not pair i have to go into phones bluetooth settings and where it says BTRADIO it says not connected
so when i click it it askes me for code all over again
