DS3 Touchscreen Album Art Criteria

Does anyone know the criteria for albumart to work on the new 2015 touchsceen (SMEG+) systems.

Am a bit baffled as some do and some don't. I've normally just reduced them to say 500X500 however some at this size still don't work whereas some at 1200X1200 do. Is there something else that's needed?

It would be good to know the size (mb), width X height and resolution.

The art is read off the metadata stored in the file it's self. Use either iTunes or MP3Tag to make sure the art is embedded, MP3tag is my choice using art sizes of 500 or 600 in size.

Is it supposed to show on a Bluetooth connection or does the music have o be stored in the car's jukebox? Most of my music has album art but it doesn't seem to show on the car's screen.

I'm not sure about the Bluetooth but when I use it with my sony it doesn't show. I use a USB rather then the jukebox if I'm honest.

Mp3tag is also my tool of choice but what initially seemed strange was how some 1200X1200 files were Ok whereas some 500X500 weren't.

What I've found is that the unit seems to not want to show albumart over a certain size. Reducing everything to less than 400kb fixed it and now everything shows.
