2015 touch screen internet conection

Hi

was wondering if anyone knew how to get the new touch screen ICE to connect up to the internet. I have paired my phone with it and selected Telephone, streaming and internet on the options but it keeps saying no internet connection. Do I need to tether it the same as sharing my data with a laptop or other phone? Although this normally requires the other device to locate my phone as a open wifi device and i can not see the option to do that. There is little to no information about the system in the handbooks other than how to work the sat nav (which is not on my model)

Looks like you need to enable Bluetooth tethering on the phone.

If that doesn't work I'm sure Bigfeet will be along to help, I'm sure he's done it.

You need to set up your mobile as a portable hotspot and have the car connect it that way for the internet to work.

The other option is to drive the car as close as you can to a free hotspot and hook in that way, did that with the car I was using at Moto services on the motorway!

So the car can connect to Wi-Fi hotspots?

You still have to tether through a mobile though as it acts as the modem for the car.

I managed to get mine connected, as advised you need to enable Bluetooth tethering. Then do the following...

Click internet Browser



Click Yes



Select Bluetooth



Shows this screen



Click Search (magnifying glass)



Tick Bottom Box (Internet)





Click Green Tick at bottom left



Accept



Internet in your car

Glad to help, I don't think it's something I will use tbh, but I had get it working just cause it was there.. Next one to tackle is the jukebox feature

yeah, not sure to what extent though, the resolution wasn't that good but I only viewed the page shown on the picture.

Nice instructions Bigal - will be on that tonight - if you can watch youtube on it, it would make my life so much easier when sitting in the car with one child whilst the other is at football/gymnastics/dance/netball etc
