  • Swapping Stereo

Hey all, first post so please bear with me.

I am looking at swapping the factory stereo in my DS3 DStyle for a similar model that is in my fathers C3 Picasso. The reason being that his has bluetooth connectivity that he does not use and frankly wouldn't have a clue how to use.

    My questions are:
Is this straight forward and will all the options show on the car display and will steering wheel controls still work?

I'd imagine that it wouldn't work... You'd need additional cables for the microphone and some sort of adapter since you won't have controls on your steering wheel to answer the phone so would have a different connector?

You could simply pull them both out and try but I think they are also coded to the car?

Apart from the microphone and controls, yes the radio is VIN coded to the car.

This can be changed using the Lexia/ServiceBox software and dongle.

if you put the radio in your car you need to put your chassis number in the radio with a citroen diag box or you will get beeping noise through speekers

Easy enough to try providing you have the codes for both.
