  • Stop iPhone autoplay

When Mrs Matt plugs her iPhone in to charge off the USB socket it auto switches from radio to iPhone music. Is there a setting to disable that somewhere?

    TIA

Use a separate charger, plug it into the lighter socket. Mrs Matts phone will charge quicker and it won't interrupt the radio, win / win.

    Something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003YHLT7Y/

    Or this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B004SH3ERC/

I have both and they work great.

Good suggestion, but then you have to swap cables if you later want to play iPhone which is not such a good idea if you are driving. There ought to be a setting lol.

Not sure what you mean by swap cables but I'd tell her to make up her mind before setting off

If your car has bluetooth that would solve the cable swapping issue

I believe there is a option on the iPhone to tell it not to go into media mode when a USB is plugged in which is what is happening at the moment.

Hopefully iPhone users will confirm as I know you can on Android.

I know I'm a fussy bugger, but I don't really like Bluetooth as it isn't as good quality as by cable. Radio might be good now, later daughter might demand something from iPhone etc etc. I wonder where this setting could be :-)

Could you not just press the source button to get back to radio? Not ideal I know.

Otherwise there's normally a thing on the iPhone's control centre if you swipe up from the bottom of the screen - it has options for connected sources there. No good if you're driving though...
