Ipod Scratching Noise

I have found when listening to my Ipod in my DS3, with some of the more "rock orientated" songs there is this strange scrathy sound - It only seems to be with Ipod and volume isn't a factor.

I've tried CD's of same songs and don't seem to have this problem.

Thoughts?

It's a 6th Generation - Think it is the song thing because CD-rips seem to be okay, however it's the songs I have downloaded that are the problem.

Somebody told me that, apparently, you can download free music from the internet. It has been said that this music can occasionally be of low quality.

I have also heard that the newer software for iPods and Iphone have caused this to happen.

If you download free music on the internet, you generally choose the quality. 320kbps/FLAC etc. Only a dumb dumb would download low quality music.
