Mirrorlink certificate error

Hey all,

I'm trying to get my mirrorlink working but i keep getting the following message: the application certificate for this app is not valid.
Anyone here that had any experience with this or mirrorlink. Have tried it with a S5 i boughed to keep in the car and my dad's wife's S6. Both come up with the same error and the S6 worked in a other car.

Certificate errors suggest that the SSL has expired for the device to allow secure communications between your mobile and car.

Sounds as though you may need a software update from Citroen.

As above, it sounds like you need to have the mirrorlink software brought up to date. Had a customer who got this when his phone updated to a newer version of Android.

Update with diagbox? Updated my diagbox yesterday and going to buy a coin tonight so i can update. Or do they use a usb stick to update?
It's on 6.1 and know it has been updated to the 6.3 some time ago.

I mean the software from citroen. The smeg still need the update to 6.3.

Not sure if you'd get it from Diagbox. It's a firmware update that would have been made available to Citroen.

I know. Maybe bigfoot has the anwser. Can't really go to the dealship near me. The one in my town destroyed my ecu (had citroen technical platform reconfigure it remotely with my lexia). And had a argument with the closest other dealer over some parts i ordered. They ordered the wrong ones and still had to pay for them...

It's a software issue unfortunately. You need somebody with access to the latest Software. As it's a car built by PSA the best place to obtain these updates would be through one of their dealerships or garages.

The update for firmware is normally run via USB stick with a license key. You can only get that software via Citroen Service.

You can pop into any dealership and ask about the software update, pretty sure they would be happy to download it for you.

The nature of an SSL certificate means that you wouldn't typically find them in the wild.

They don't have the latest one... And the firmware is the same for all smeg devices. Even the certificate is. Just need to obtain it.

The issue is that the software update requires the key so downloading via a different channel isn't really going to help.

As I said most dealers would happily download and update the car for you, or in some cases load up a USB ready for you to do yourself.
