The Pure Highway that I have plugs into the Aux socket, so no FM re-broadcast required. I also have an external mag-mount antenna located on the spoiler.

For £20, I have a great system that works for everything.

Windscreen phone mount from halfords for £15 and a 5m aux lead from ebay. That way music from my phone streams directly into the stereo unit, calls come through the speakers, callers can hear me clearly and should i be using google maps/navigation the phone is in front of me so I can see the maps.

The cable I have running under the drivers seat then under the rubber beading round the car to hide the cable.

I was going to spend £180 on a parrot kit, but thought whats the point in that expense ??

When it comes to power, I havent really had to power the phone from the socket, but if needed you can buy socket adapters converting one socket to 2 or 3, then you could do the same cabling trick that I used with the aux cable.

Cheap way of doing it, but works just as well a far lot cheaper imo

This is very similar to my setup, I have a dock for my phone which has audio out and USB charging. I have 3.5mm and a usb cable running round the dash under the trim, under the drivers seat to the sockets (where I have a usb adapter in the 12V socket).

This gives me music, hands free calling and GPS (using Google navigation/maps) all in the one device.

Only problem I've found so far is that relying on Google for navigation fails when you're in a place with no phone signal.

Is there any way to do this via Bluetooth thereby doing away with the need for cables but still receiving calls through the cars speakers?

A full fitted hands free like parrot mki9200 is capable of either a hardwired connection either via 3.5mm headphone type
Socket or via USB or 30 pin iPod/iPhone plug or via Bluetooth via streaming
Price wise it depends on what deals are on.

As it's an integrated solution it takes power from the car and very few if any wires or cables would be on show

                  Question......

If I have a Garmin Sat Nav on my dash board connected via bluetooth to my HTC Desire S, so that I can make and receive hands free calls, if I connect the phone to the aux socket at the same time, will the calls still come through the cars speakers?

No can't see this working due to the fact as soon as you plug a jack into the phone
this would over right and previous connection made in your case the bluetooth to the Garmin unit, would expect the
sound quality to be horrible due to the feedback caused from phone/nav/car etc

Why don't you have your dealer search current UK stock and see if there are any in UK stock with the Connect Signature on which you can get?
