  • Going back to stock head unit but which one do i buy?

Hi, I recently bought a 2010 1.6 Dstyle which has an aftermarket stereo fitted, but want to go back to a stock head unit. I’ve seen there’s 2 types, rd4 & rd45, but i don’t know which one the car originally had fitted. Is there any way to tell which one i need?

    Thanks

The likelihood is that the original fitment was as an RD4. The RD45 has I believe, USB inputs and Bluetooth. The quickest way to check is the type of display screen. Type "A" screens are more basic, whereas Type "C" screens will display rear parking sensor graphics, dual fuel consumption displays etc. The manual will explain this more clearly. BTW a replacement head unit isn't just plug 'n' play. It needs programming with VIN numbers via a dealer or someone with Diagbox software

It has the type C screen. Im aware of them needing vin coding, just didn’t know which one to get. Thanks
