Has anyone moved the USB sockets (or one of them) to a more convenient location.
I find they are in a really badly located place and it's only a matter of time before a USB plug in a socket gets knocked or pulled and then the socket breaks or becomes lose. Also I don't want any cable visible to passing thieves who smash your window to grab whatever is attached to the end of the visible cable. I would like to leave an iPod plugged in permanently without any cable being visible.
I was looking at the location of the sockets and I would think that there is a cable connected to each socket via a small connector, and that cable runs forwards towards the dashboard. This would make the cable available to re-route to a new location such as at the back of the front cubby space in froint of the gear lever, which would be ideal.
Anyone done anything like this?
